To help you find out about your first few weeks at University, it is essential that you attend the appropriate Welcome Talks as detailed on the Welcome Calendar.  Some of you may collect your ID cards during welcome weekend 23 – 24 September 2017, however, if you don’t then you will be able to do so when you attend Registration.  All induction events can be found via the Welcome Calendar which can be accessed via our welcome website at http://www.southampton.ac.uk/welcome/events.

MONDAY 25 SEPTEMBER 2017

Central University Welcome Talk: 10.30-11.15 Building 32 Room 1015.  Formal University Welcome Talk delivered by key members of University staff.

TUESDAY 26 SEPTEMBER 2017

  Registration: See Welcome Calendar for times and location

 Registration event for all new Undergraduate students within Southampton Business School.  Induction packs with helpful information will be distributed and any students yet to collect their ID cards can do so.

 Southampton Business School Welcome Talk: See Welcome Calendar for times and locations

Welcome Talk for all new Undergraduate students, given by key academic and admin staff.

Coffee with Peer Leaders: See Welcome Calendar for times and locations

Programme Director Talks: See Welcome Calendar for times and locations

Programme specific talk with your Programme Director to discuss programme structure, assessment, feedback and grades.

Getting Started with your Studies: AI, Library & Senior Tutor Talk:

Introduction to the Library, Overview of the University Academic Integrity regulations and information about Personal Academic Tutors.

 IDENTIFICATION

In order to receive your ID card and induction pack, you must bring with you a form of photographic identification from the specified list below:

Passport (any nationality)
UK Border Agency Biometric ID card
UK issued Driving Licence (photocard only)
EU National Identity Card (EU countries only)
HM Forces ID Card (UK)
PASS Proof of Age card, e.g. CitizenCard, ProofGB, UreLife, ValidateUK, Young Scot, SmartCities
