Student Societies

Joining a society is one of the best ways to bring your university experience to life. It opens the door to meeting people who share your interests and helps you build a community that goes beyond your course or accommodation. It’s a chance to make real connections and feel part of something bigger.

At the same time, getting involved helps you grow. Whether you’re collaborating on ideas, organising events, or simply showing up and supporting your group, you’re developing teamwork, communication, and leadership skills without even realising it. Balancing society activities with your studies shows employers that you can manage your time and take initiative, important qualities that stand out long after graduation.

A full list of student societies can be found on the SUSU website.
