About

We are delighted to welcome back Southampton Business School Alumni, Sumaiya Hameed for this industry led workshop, where you will be guided through the process of applying for jobs and internships.

In this interactive workshop, Sumaiya will share her personal journey, including her career path from studying Accounting and Finance at University of Southampton, to joining one of the Big Four Accounting firms.

You will explore different stages of the application process, including applications, online assessments and assessment centres, which are all key elements of any UK recruitment process. You will test out different interview skills and techniques in this interactive and engaging session.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other students, share experiences and tips, whilst learning from a very successful alumnus of the Business School.

To support the session and provide further insight and support, our International Careers Consultant Gemma O’Donoughue and Business School Careers Consultant Bethan Moore will be signposting you to relevant support and guidance.

We will also be joined by a couple of Talent Development Programme mentors from our network to join the discussion and Q&A.
